It is recommended to clean the ashes out of the Bio 200 weekly. Cleaning the Heat exchange tubes greatly increases the efficiency of the Bio 200. The Bio 200 will come with an assortment of cleaning tools.
No, Crown Royal Stoves does not require the use of glycol in their boilers. If Glycol is used, the recommended ratio is 35-40% of glycol to water. This must be a propylene glycol specifically formulated for heating applications. Crown Royal stoves requires the use of “Control” rust inhibitor. Use only top-quality, residential grade A wood pellets for best performance. Top quality wood pellets have a moisture content under 10%. The Bio 200 can burn both soft & hardwood pellets.
Grade A wood pellets have a lower moisture content, produce less Ash meaning less cleaning. Grade A wood pellets also have a higher energy density, reducing the amount of wood pellets needed & less refueling.
The Bio 200 comes with a preset temperature set point of 180 Degrees F with a 10 degree temperature differential meaning no adjustments are needed. The Bio 200 features a self-modulating draft inducer and augers automatically adjust both airflow and pellet feed rates.
